Gold, enamel, pearl and diamond ring watch

A very fine and rare 18K gold, enamel, pearl and rose diamond-set octagonal ring watch with visible rose diamond-set balance, circa 1810. Octagonal top housing the watch, bezel decorated with translucent royal blue enamel and set with pearls and rose-cut diamonds, secured by two screws, polished sliding panel at the bottom to reveal the winding, setting and regulation holes, reeded shank secured by two screws. Octagonal blued steel plate, in the lower part, an aperture for the rose-cut diamond-set balance, eccentric white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer minute dot divisions and blued steel spade hands. A brass, octagonal movement, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement, brass escape wheel, plain diamond-set balance with three arms, and flat balance spring.
