Gold lever keyless pocket watch

A very fine and very rare French, 18K gold, oval keyless dress watch with compass and sundial, circa 1938. Back engraved with sundial, spring-loaded rose gold gnomon in the middle which opens to the inclination set probably for Paris, top with small compass, front with dial aperture. Matted and silvered dial, Radial Roman numerals, outer minute track. Breguet blued steel hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring. Dial signed case punched with serial numbers and Edmond Jaeger mark, movement signed by EWC.
