Danish 18k gold minute repeating keyless watch Circa 1880

A very fine Danish, 18K gold minute repeating, a keyless pocket watch with Jûrgensen’s patent bow hand setting, circa 1880. A polished case, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Gold Louis hands.
A nickel-silver movement, 35 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, escape wheel and pallet fork jewels with gold caps, centre wheel and repeat barrel with gold chatons, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, Jürgensen’s patented bow hand setting. Dial, case and movement signed, the movement also punched with Jürgensen’s mark under the dial.
