An extremely rare Danish pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement, circa 1850.
18 carat gold engine turned case with reeded band, numbered and signed gold dome and case maker’s punch mark “ACJ”. Signed enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, frosted and gilt, with pivoted detent chronometer escapement and large gold screw compensation balance.
