A Danish rare and fine quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with independent jumping seconds seconde morte, circa 1843.
18 carat gold engine turned case with a monogram, signed gold dome and slide for repeating mechanism. White enamel dial with radial black Roman hours, red Arabic minutes, jumping centre seconds and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, 2 barrels, key wind, gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, counterpoised lever.
