A Dutch silver pair cased verge pocket watch with date, cast silver pair cases circa 1730. Deep full plate fire gilt movement with square pillars, mock pendulum with the French words le dieu pan deliura daphnee’dápolon, fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates, pierced and engraved balance cock, pierced and engraved plate for the silver regulator disc, plain gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver champlevé dial with black Roman hours and Arabic minutes, the center signed Dadelbeek Utrecht, decorative pierced gilt hands. Plain silver inner case with circular shutter to the winding aperture, repoussé outer case, chased and engraved. Comes with watch paper with the text A.J. Brouwer, watchmaker, Bakkersteeg te Utrecht.
