An early English silver pair-cased verge watch with concealed erotic miniature, signed Quare London, probably Swiss, circa 1700. Gilt full plate fusee movement with Egyptian pillars, the balance bridge set with a circular miniature of an amorous couple.
Later white enamel dial with Arabic minute numerals enclosing Roman chapters, pierced hands within a plain silver consular case with a loose ring pendant and false back opening to reveal a window to view the polychrome enamel miniature.
