An exquisite and rare German 14 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, circa 1922. Sold on June 19th, 1922 to Fa. B. Harder in Hildesheim for 11.500 marks. The gilt frosted stem wind movement with a lever made of gold, swan neck fine adjustment device, and bimetallic balance wheel with gold weights and blued spring. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals in Empire style, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, sunk center and gold spade hands. A plain polished case. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered. Comes with a fitted leather box and a certificate from the Watch Museum in Glashütte.
