An elegant Swiss 18K yellow gold keyless lever chronometer dress watch, circa 1910. An observatory-tested dress watch by Haas Neveux & Co. and retailed by Lacloche Freres, Rue de la Paix, Paris. A solid, polished case, the back cover with an engraved monogram RJS, concealed hinge and hinged gold cuvette. Matte champagne dial with champlevé Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, engine-turned centre and black spade hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, stamped twice with the seal of Geneva quality mark, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold meantime and temperature adjustment screws, blued steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Dial and movement signed Lacloche Freres, case punched with Haas Neveux trademark.
