A Swiss/English fine and rare key wind 18 carat gold full hunter, hour and quarter repeating two-train clock watch, circa 1877. Frosted gilt jewelled two train lever movement wound separately, bimetallic compensation balance, quarter repeating and hour striking via hammers onto gongs.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals and minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6, blued steel double spade hands, strike/silence and Hours & Quarter/Hours engraved on the band.
Polished plain hinged case with London Hallmark for 1877 and case maker’s mark M.F. for Moss Fridlander of Fleet Street, Coventry.
