A fine Swiss, 18K gold, keyless, quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1877. Retailed by A.H. Rodanet, Constructeur de Chronomètres, 36, Rue Vivienne, Paris. A polished case, the back engine-turned with engraved foliate monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands.

A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers activated by a slide on the band. Case signed and numbered, cuvette signed by the retailer.
