A early English gold pair cased repoussé verge pocket watch by Jno. Curtis London, circa 1786.
White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, steel beetle and poker hands.
Repoussé outer case, the pair case embossed and chased with The Presentation in the Temple, after Augustin Heckel, plain inner case. Casemaker’s mark ‘IW’ and London hallmarks for 1786-1787, numbered verge movement.
Full plate fire gilt movement, pierced and engraved bridge cock, silver regulator disc.
