An English 18 carat gold and enamel open faced center seconds pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1800. The gilt, elaborately hand-engraved bridge movement with a duplex escapement, a flying barrel with ring setting, three screwed chatons, a ring balance and pointed tooth winding. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute and seconds track, Arabic quarter hour numerals and blued steel ornamented hands. The case with multi coloured, champlevé enamel and tendril ornamentation, a central depiction of flowers on translucent red enamel on the back, the bezels, pendant and bow are decorated to match. Case numbered, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
