A most decorative English gold and enamel pair cased verge pocket watch set with half pearls, circa 1810.
Two cases: a glazed, gold plated protective outer case and a gold inner case with translucent cobalt blue enamel over a lavish engine turned ground, the bezels on the front and back are set with half pearls. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, outer minute divisions and gold arrow shaped hands.
Signed gilt full plate movement with solid pillars, key wind, a verge escapement, chain and fusee and a plain three arm steel balance.
