Exquisite large gold/ enamel verge watch of very fine quality, signed by Berthoud a Paris, circa 1780. An 18K gold, both sides enamelled in Paillone-technique (small repairs), back with light blue plaque with very fine en-grisaille painting, case and movement with matching number 5980, signed and numbered fire-gilt verge movement, signed original enamel dial, presumably original high quality pink gold hands, in working order.
