An English large gilt metal and enamel pair cased center seconds clock watch for the Chinese market, Royal Exchange London, circa 1770. Gilded full plate engraved with scrolls, cylinder movement, signed Edw Tomlin Roy Exchange London, signed gilt metal dust cap, finely pierced and scroll engraved balance cock with diamond endstone, bell striking.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals for hours, Arabic numerals for minutes, inner case with scroll pierced and engraved band, outer case centered by polychrome enamel miniature of a shepherdess and her flock, bordered by red translucent enamel over engine turned.-
