A remarkable, early and rare oval pre-balance spring pendant watch, a brass/gilt case, engraved with motifs of birds, lilies and sunflowers. Silver chapter ring, applied hour knobs for time reading by night, engraved centre, firegilt brass full plate movement, gut/fusee, verge escapement, plain two arm iron balance without balance spring. Watch with a case and dial of engraved gilt brass and silver, Roman numerals.
