An oval, large, single-handed English Puritan style pendant watch, circa 1610. Brass fire gilt case with circumferential chased silver flower band, oval cartouches with engraved town views and the inner of the hinged front lid with engraved laurel wreaths. Brass fire gilt dial with silver chapter ring, engraved inlaid radial Roman numerals, and single iron hand. Full plate movement, oval, fire gilt, signed, decorated edge, gut/fusee, verge escapement, three-arm brass ring balance without balance spring, ratchet wheel set up with blued steel spring, florally decorated and pierced balance cock.
