An English gold and enamel pair cased cylinder watch, circa 1778,  gilt cylinder movement, foliate pierced and engraved balance cock, gilt dust cap.
Later white enamel dial, Roman numerals. quadrangular pillars, polished inner case, the outer centered by a portrait of a lady, within borders of translucent purple enamel over engine-turning, the translucent blue enamel bezels highlighted by white opaque enamel beaded swags, movement and dust cap signed and numbered, both cases hallmarked London 1778.
