An early, heavy English 18k gold pair cased verge watch by Charles Smith London, circa 1793. An 18K gold, high quality, very solid English paircase with matching London hallmarks, very fine original silver dome, splendid cage and regulating disc, symbol “rabbit” und “snail” stand for “fast” and “slow”, fantastic quality of movement with diamond endstone, plate splendidly decorated, enamel dial in excellent condition, golden hands, in working order, overall outstanding condition, noted watchmaker since 1785.
