Fully engraved gold watch made for the Hispanic market

A fine and heavy English 18 carat gold fully engraved hunting cased minute repeating pocket watch with duplex escapement made for the Hispanic market, circa 1863. Frosted gilt movement, fusee and chain, three quarter plate, jewelled, with screwed gold chatons, duplex escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, engraved balance cock with diamond endstone, index regulator. Movement signed: Turpin Brothers, Banner Square, Finsbury, London.
The case with London hallmarks for 1862-1863. Band and bezels are entirely engraved with floral and foliate decoration. Hinged gold cuvette. Dial and movement signed, case numbered.

Silver engraved dial with applied gold decoration, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost applied gold leaf and flower pattern. The centre applied a gold flower basket, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands.
