–
An English gold, enamel, and pearl set lever pendant watch with chatelaine, circa 1790. This watch features a gilded full plate movement with a lever escapement, a decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock, and a flat three arm balance. The white enamel dial is adorned with Arabic numerals and gold hands and includes a winding aperture at the 6 o’clock position. The 18k gold case has translucent blue enamel over an engine turned ground, with bezels set with a row of split pearls. The bow is set with a diamond, and the back is centred by an enamel portrait of a cherub within an oval diamond set frame. Additionally, it comes with a matching gold chatelaine, which is designed with split pearls, enamel, and diamond settings. The pendant terminals feature a hard stone seal, a winding key, and an extra associated short gold chain and T bar winding key.
