A beautiful English 18 carat gold and painted on enamel, pearl set watch of noble provenance, with original matching châtelaine, circa 1790. A Lépine type case, white champlevé enamel frame over guilloche green enamel, whole on translucent Imperial blue enamel with diamond set monogram over engine turning, pearl set frame on translucent Imperial blue enamel background.

Châtelaine: three links, top link with painted on enamel medallion depicting a pensive lady and her dog in a rural setting within a pearl set frame with royal blue guilloche enamel surround, two lower panels with two children playing with doves and an urn with two doves, two chains, one with matching enamel and diamond monogram seal, the other with matching painted on enamel key. White enamel dial, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute dot divisions and gold arrowhead hands. 30 mm. Frosted gilt, full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, steel balance with flat balance spring, pierced balance cock.
