A decorative Neoclassical English gold enamel key-winding pocket watch set with diamonds and pearls, circa 1800.
Signed gilded brass movement, circular plates with pillars, fusee and chain, cylinder escapement (brass wheel), monometallic balance (polished steel) and blued steel flat hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded English cock, diamond end-stone. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minutes track, and original arrow hands. Round-shaped 20K yellow gold case, royal blue flinqué enamel (translucent enamel over guilloché engine-turning) case back, with a rose-cut diamond-set rosacea, and, in the centre, a large diamond surrounded by a crown of 13 pearls; bezels set with 43 pearls each; then a total of 99 pearls.
