English gold enamel hunting cased watch Circa 1850

A fine, flat gold enamel pocket watch “Alpine Lake View”. 18k gold case, on the front and back side very finely engraved “taille d’epargne” foliage decoration, the front cover with a centred enamel cartouche depicting an opaque polychrome alpine lake view, the back cover with an opaque polychrome enamelled bouquet of summer flowers in the centre, signed and florally engraved gold dome, “Patent Lever”. Circa 1850. Dial is gold, engine-turned, the centre with an engraved alpine lake view, applied radial Roman numerals, filigree hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, 13 jewels, blued screws, side lever escapement, monometallic screw balance, blued balance spring.
