An extremely rare, very fine, diamond-set gold enamel minute repeating hunting case pocket watch for the Indian market, circa 1870. 18k gold case, lavishly florally engraved, pierced and set with diamonds and turquoise enamel, lavishly florally engraved gold dome and pendant, slide for repeating mechanism, case maker punch mark “RB”. Dial is gold, florally engraved, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, blued snake hands. 4/5 plate movement, frosted, gilt, chatoned, blued screws, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, English lever escapement, screw compensation balance, blued, freesprung, helical balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock, ruby endstone on lever and escape wheel.
