An English 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch with dead beat seconds, circa 1884. Gilt 3/4 plate movement with English lever, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, diamond end stone.
White enamel dial with black Roman numerals and black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, gilt spade hands, centre dead beat seconds.
Engine turned a hinged round case with cartouche to the front, start/stop button in the band at 12 o’clock. Signed movement, case stamped JR.
