An English 18 carat yellow gold and enamel hunting cased pocket watch made by James McCabe in London, circa 1800. Gilt full plate key wound movement with a verge escapement, an index for regulation and signed Jas McCabe Royal Exchange London. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel hands. The case with a blue, red and green enamelled floral motif. Movement and dial signed, case and the inside cuvette further stamped HZ.
