An English gold pair cased quarter repeating watch, circa 1766, gilt verge movement, pierced balance cock engraved with a putto mask and grotesque mask.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, pierced hands, inner case pierced and finely engraved with foliate scrollwork, outer case similarly decorated, centered by a monogram on a stippled ground, pendant repeat, movement signed, outer case with London hallmark 1766 and stamped with casemaker mark PM.
