A very fine gold/enamel verge watch by William Hughes London an important London watchmaker, circa 1766-1794. A gold enamel case of very rare color, cobalt blue engine turned enamel on the back, pink enamel rim with dark blue cartouches, small opening button on the edge, very high quality English case with English gold punch (lion), signed and numbered verge movement with diamond endstone, round pillars, signed enamel dial, golden hands, good condition of preservation with missing enamel on the edge.
