A fine pair cased gold enamel pocket watch with early cylinder escapement and stoppable centre seconds, circa 1771.  18k gold enamel case, lavishly hand-engraved, translucent cobalt blue enamelled Champlevè flower bouquet, à goutte, case maker punch mark “HT”, large lateral hinge.  Smooth, signed movement protection cap. Dial: is enamel, radial Roman hours, centre seconds, blued steel “Poker & Beetle” hands. Full plate movement, firegilt, applied florally engraved ornaments, chain/fusee, blued screws, solid movement pillars, three-arm steel balance, cylinder escapement, very finely engraved pierced balance cock, silver regulator disc, large chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
