An English champleve dial verge with glazed sides and cock in gold pair cases, circa 1725. Full plate fire gilt movement the glazed sides retained by a silver ring. The ring is pierced and engraved with architectural pillars and the number of the watch over the barrel. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel set-up between the plates. Pierced and engraved cock with mask, the table glazed, a bluestone at its centre in a silver setting. Pierced and engraved foot and plate for the blued regulator disc with gilt markings. Plain gilt balance.Signed gold champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, blue steel beetle and poker hands. Plain 22 carat gold pair cases, gold pendant and stirrup bow. Maker’s mark SG.
