–
An English lever in a slim gold full hunter case, hallmarked London circa 1913. Gilt three-quarter plate keyless movement with going barrel. Unusual gilt dust ring and cover for the balance bearing a registration mark retained by dog screws. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring. Club foot lever escapement. Screwed in jewelling, escape and lever pivots with endstones. Silver engine turned dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals and blue steel hands. Plain slim 18-carat full hunter case, the dust ring replacing the cuvette. Maker’s mark ‘S.S & S’ in a rectangle. The number corresponding to that on the movement.
