Gold open faced verge pocket watch

A very fine Swiss, 18K yellow and pink gold pocket watch, circa 1830. Made for the South American market. The back with finely engraved flower and foliage patterns swirling from the centre, and a bezel with a repeating pattern. Champagne dial with painted Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, guilloche centre, and the outer border with engraved floral pattern. Black Breguet hands. A gilt brass movement, full brass plate with circular pillars, chain and fusee, verge escapement, micrometric potence adjustment, plain gilt brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, engraved gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece, silver regulation disc. Signed on movement and dial.
