An English very fine and particular small pair cased verge pocket watch by eminent London watchmaker “David Hubert”, circa 1720.
Two cases: a smooth silver outer case with large lateral hinge and a plain silver inner case. Signed silver champlevé dial with inlaid radial Roman hours, Arabic minutes and blued arrow hands. Signed firegilt, florally engraved, full plate movement with keywind, applied floral decorations, chain/fusee, moulded movement pillars, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance and pierced balance cock.
