A fine, heavy English half hunting cased pocket watch with spring detent escapement, circa 1890.
18 carat gold case, entirely florally engraved and chased, with inlaid cobalt blue radial Roman numerals, gold dome and case maker’s punch mark “AS”. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued double spade hands. Signed frosted, gilt, chatoned 4/5 plate movement, with optionally key winding or crown winding, chain/fusee, gold screw compensation balance, freesprung blued helical balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
