A fine English pocket watch with stoppable center seconds, probably a deck watch, circa 1852.
Silver case with English hallmarks from 1852 and lever for stopping the seconds; white enamel dial (small craquelling) with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial for the Arabic seconds and pink gold spade hands; very fine English decorative movement with fire-gilt bridge, cylinder escapement, diamond endstone, big steel balance and the main plate signed “Grant FleetStreet London” and numbered “no.3135“.
