A technical rare, very early English verge watch with visible pendulum, regulation by the dial and date, circa 1690.
Very interesting, signed verge movement, No.258, splendid factory decoration, special pillars, and a variant of the tulip shape. Rare, signed Champlevé dial, particularly beautiful design, with decentralized time display, a window for pendulum and date, early adjustment by the dial, Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, and gold-plated hands. Silver case (protective case no longer available) with case maker hallmark IB.

This type of verge clock was made in England around 1680 to 1700 and is extremely rare. Another almost identical example of this watchmaker was auctioned in Geneva in 2004 at the auction Exceptional Horological Sale.
