An English silver oval puritan verge pocket watch, circa 1635, full plate fire gilt verge movement, plate with engraved outer, elongated pierced and engraved balance cock, plain flat steel balance, gut line fusee, ratchet and click set-up, baluster pillars.
Plain silver dial with gilt chapter ring with Roman numerals and half-hour divisions, a single hand of floriate design, plain inner case with short terminal, winding aperture with sliding cover, glass with engraved inner beading, secured by three screws, plain polished outer case.
