Silver  pair cased verge clock watch

An early Swiss silver large pair cased verge clock watch, circa 1710. Full plate gilt brass movement, the ruby jewelled silver balance cock and brass side plate pierced and engraved with conforming scrolling acanthus leaf detail, silver Arabic regulation, raised above four square baluster pillars. Striking on the hour or at will by pushing the pendant.
Silver champleve dial with black inlaid Roman numerals bordered by Arabic divisions at five-minute intervals, central signature surrounded by further acanthus detail, steel beetle and poker hands, bulls eye soda glass.
The inner and outer cases pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls entwined with rampant lions and exotic birds, cartouche to the reverse of the outer case engraved with a continental rural village scene, dial and movement signed Geron with London spuriously indicated.
