An English verge in a decorative engine-turned gilt case, circa 1820. Full plate fusee movement with round pillars. Engraved cock, steel regulator on top plate below the plain three-arm steel balance. Engine turned gilt dial with applied gold Roman numerals and gold hands. Engine turned open face case with ribbed middle. Maker’s mark ‘J.R.’.
