An English pair cased verge pocket watch with 24 hour indicator and second time zone, circa 1790.
Two case: outer case – copper, firegilt, polished, à goutte, with large lateral hinge; inner case – copper, firegilt, with engraved signature and year 1798 and case maker’s punch mark “RN” (probably Robert Nutall of London). Enamel dial with radial Roman hours and “Fleur de Lys” hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, signed, with applied florally engraved ornaments, chain/fusee, moulded movement pillars, large three-arm brass balance and large florally engraved and pierced balance cock.
