A fine English half hunting cased pocket watch with Nicole Nilsen patent winding and Hallmarks, circa 1857. Made by chronometer maker Arnold & Frodsham London.
Engine turned 18 carat gold case with Roman numerals, hallmarks London 1857 and casemaker’s punch Adolphe Nicole. Very fine English lever movement with screwed gold chatons and a very early edition of the crown winding, patent Nicole Nilsen. Main plate signed “Arnold Charles Frodsham Patent“. White enamel signed dial with subsidiary seconds on “9”, Roman hours and blued steel hands. Matching numbers on case, movement and dial.
