An excellently preserved gold and enamel pocket watch in rare hunting case watch design Pailloné, made circa 1790. This outstanding quality full hunter cased watch, which was crafted from 18 carat gold, is completely enamelled, is numbered, has gold green paillonné inlays on a cobalt blue background and the master’s mark IIP.  The white enamel Louis XV dial has Arabic five minute- and Roman hour numerals and hands that were added later. The highly refined movement has a verge escapement with a mechanism repeating the hours and quarters à toc.
