A very fine, 18K yellow gold keyless dress watch with split-seconds chronograph by Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, circa 1906. Made for S. Nordlinger & Son, Los Angeles, California’. The back cover engraved with scroll monogram, hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals, red outer Arabic 5-minute/seconds markers, 1/5th seconds chronograph divisions, subsidiary seconds dial. Gold Louis XV hands. Movement with nickel silver Geneva striping decoration, 24 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck, micrometre regulator, button on the winding crown, split-seconds push-piece and locking slide in the band. Dial, case and movement are signed. Accompanied by a fitted box.
