A collection of two pocket watches, back sided glazed and skeletonized verge pocket watch, circa 1780.
An 18 carat rose gold case, the bezels set with ornamental stones, engraved band, enamel dial, roman numerals, decorative hands, skeletonized movement, firegilt, chain/fusee, three arm steel balance.
The movement is exquisitely finished and hand engraved; it is decorated with open worked scrolls and studded with paste stones, which provides us with a striking view of the balance and the pinion of the verge escapement. The enamel dial is immaculate.
