An extremely rare French gilt watch with date and phases of the moon combined with date, circa 1680. At this pocket watch you can clearly see the English influence.
Full plate fire gilt movement with pierced and engraved bridge cock, verge escapement, spiral balance spring, silver regulator disc., very large barrel, movement signed Claude Goret.
White enamel dail, with a single steel hand for time and one steel hand for date, Roman numerals.
