A decorative French one-handed verge pocket watch Oignon, circa 1680.
Brass fire gilt case with chased and engraved mythological scene, bezel, and large lateral hinge. Gilt champlevé dial with radial Roman numerals on enamel cartouches, chased and engraved foliate decoration in the centre and a blued steel single hand. Fine full plate movement, keywind, fire gilt and signed, chain/fusee, silver Egyptian movement pillars, three-arm steel balance and a large florally engraved and pierced balance bridge with mascaron.
