A French gilt-brass key-winding oignon-type pocket watch without fusee, circa 1680.
Full plate, gilded fire brass movement, Louis XIII pillars, fixed barrel, verge escapement, monometallic balance with four arms (polished steel) and blued steel flat early hairspring, pierced and engraved gilded continental Louis XIV cock, silver regulator disc. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, and original blued steel single hand. Gilt-brass two-piece case with covering lack.
