An extraordinary Swiss, falsely signed, gold carillon quarter repeating verge pocket watch with a skeletonized dial, circa 1810.
Full plate movement, gold relief, skeletonized, glass, three hammers, three gongs, chain/fusee, blued screws, round movement pillars, verge escapement, three armed brass balance, blued balance spring, pierced balance bridge, silver regulator disc. Skeletonized dial with enamel chapter ring, Breguet-style radial hours, outer minutes track, and blue steel hands. Polished gold case with engraved stripes. Signed on dial, falsely: Breguet à Paris. Marking; stamped on the inner lid: * / DLG / *7688* / KI8 / V V V, and stamped on the stem: 889.
